Township History

North Buffalo Township was founded on March 15, 1847 when Armstrong County subdivided Old Buffalo into four townships – North Buffalo, South Buffalo, East Franklin and West Franklin.

North Buffalo Township is made up of 25.6 square miles with approximately 35 miles of township maintained roads.

According to the 2010 Census, the township population is 3,011.
